Prior to my washing machine not going into the spin cycle - which I posted about earlier and had resolved, thanks - while the spin cycle was slowing down it made a clunking noise. I ignored it - bad move on my part probably - but read today on the forums that it could have been a bad drive block. After inspecting mine, it appears that my block is missing the two groves to the right and left of the slot that runs down the one side. From what I read, that would be a sign of wear and tear but it looks like mine never had them, period. The inside of the block is nice and smooth and has no indication that they were ever there. The actual block itself fits nice and snug on the actual drive shaft so I'm not sure what I'm missing. I took a couple of pics to see if anyone could tell me. Thanks. vand0521 attached the following image(s):

You will need a new drive block. They fail if the drive block nut was not on tight. Also, inspect the top of the spin tube where the drive block goes, if the tabs are worn, you will need a new spin tube.
