Hi Guys,

The Dishwasher does not fill during cycle start but continues on to do all the other parts of the cycle (If water is filled manually then it works OK) But in the rinse cycle it does drain and take water in later on in the cycle.

The disposal recently got backed up and filled the dishwasher with dirty water.

I checked the Power to the Inlet Valve during cycle start and it does not get any. It does get power during the rinse cycle and takes water in.

Any ideas what to check to fix this? As the inlet valve seems to be working OK in the rinse cycle taking in water. I could not find the float switch on the dishwasher

It is a BLANCO dishwasher

I cannot get any tech info on this unit so am just guessing.

It sounds like a timer problem to me.
You know that the water valve works so it is OK.
You said you cannot find a float switch probably does not have one as they are usually very obvious sticking up out of the tub floor. In any case it does not matter because if it was your problem it would also effect the rinse.

Take off the interior door panel and trace the wires from the water valve back up to the timer. If they go direct to the timer then that is what I would replace.

Cheers denman.
I managed to replace the timer from a similar dishwasher into the broken one and it works perfectly. I'm ordering a new timer now.

Thanks for your help.
