Freezer door was left open all night 3 days ago. Now I found the freezer coils all iced up. I defrosted them and now I am trying to find out what parts I actually need. The heater defrost and thermostat assy or the adaptive defrost board in which I do not know where this is. Any help?

The first thing I would do is check the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat for continuity. Replace the adaptive defrost control only if there is nothing wrong with these two parts.
