is there any way i can bypass this code to continue using my oven? i see i can get a new keypad if that really is my issue but it's $245 and you can probably assume I'd rather not blow money on a new keypad. thank you

You could try cleaning the insertion end of the keypad ribbon, and the contol board connector with alcohol, reattch the ribbon, good and tight, and re check for the error code. There's no way to get around the error code and make the unit operable. Basically, the control board is telling you , it can't see, or it is seeing too many, circuits from the keypad assembly. We'd be happy to verify the error code and other possible indications, if you can supply a proper model number. :) :) :)
