I could not find any info on the given model number. Tried AppliancePartsPros and Frigidaire. Please check it. Note: If this is not a US model odds are I will not be able to find anything. No: there is no igniter in an electric unit. The current to the elements is controlled by a couple relays or directly from the thermostat depending on the unit. You did not say if this was a range/stove or just an oven. If it is a stove and the stove top elements work then something is wrong with the element control system. Try flipping the breaker off/on to see if the control board will reset (if it has an electronic timer) If it is just an oven or a stove (stove top elements do not work) then the power to the unit should be checked first. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Do this with the heater off and on. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! Here is a good link with basic stove repair info which you may find useful. http://www.applianceaid.com/erange.html |
