I have a GE model DVL223eb6ww and its making a bad noise. I opened it up and found the blower was slipping and moves back and forward enough to where the actual blower fan is cracked. I couldn't figure out how to remove it - therre is no scew and its sold as part of the blowewr housing. I tired gluing with JB weld but it still makes a horrible high pitch metel on metal noise. It seems like there is a front to back play in the motor.
Any idea how to remove the blower fan and fix this?

The blower wheel and blower housing are all one piece,

Part number: AP2619879
Part number: AP2619879

Here are some basic repair information :

1. Remove the front panel and the drum.
2. Disconnect the wiring from the back side of the blower housing.

3. Remove the 2 Phillips-head screws that hold the blower guard in place. Remove the blower guard.

Note: The blower guard is notched. When reinstalling the blower guard, ensure the notch is located at the bottom of the blower wheel.

Note: In the following step, to prevent the blower
wheel from turning while removing the center nut,
apply a 7/8-in. wrench to the nut on the end of the drive motor.
4. Remove the 13-mm center nut. (Turn clockwise to remove.) Remove the blower wheel.

5. Remove the 3 Phillips-head screws from the center of the blower housing.

5. Remove the 3 Phillips-head screws from the center of the blower housing.
6. Remove the Phillips-head screw from the back of the dryer that holds the exhaust duct in place.

Note: The motor shaft has a snap ring, which prevents the blower wheel from rubbing the back of the blower housing.

7. Remove the blower housing.

Hope this get's you through the repair,

:) :) :)
