1954 Frigidaire Imperial Cold Pantry runs too cold. I don't know why it is running colder now in the fall/winter time than in the summer. The thermometer I placed in the unit says it is between 28 and 30 degrees. It is in a cold corner of the basement - typically about 50 degrees. The settings on the thermostat dial are B, A, 1, 2, 3. Which is the lowest setting? The lower freezer unit is also too cold. I have tried different settings but it doesn't seem to make a difference. This is my beer frig, and I have been using the frig to keep the beer keg cold for years, but now the frig is freezing the beer and it is pouring like slush. Could it be ready for a good defrosting?

you may have to replace the thermostat. First I would have a tech come take a look at it. If it is your thermostat you can purchase new ones over the internet from many antique appliance web pages. Hope you get it fixed.
