The wife just IMed to tell me that the washer has been pouring water out the drain since last night (it's outside and drains to the septic tank... fun!).

The problem therefore is that it is getting plenty of water but just not holding onto it. The wife also reports that there are rust spots all over the white (!) load that happened to be in at the time.

I assume I'm looking at replacing the drain pump? Access is from the front panel, correct? How much is a new pump?

Thanks in advance!

Its syphoning, Raise the DRAIN HOSE and it will fill as NORMAL!!!!!! The hose MUST be higher than the FULL water level at some point!!!:)
