When I turn on the dishwasher I can hear the tub fill (if I open the door I can see the water in the tub). After a couple of seconds I can hear a switch activate (sounds like a relay maybe) and a few seconds after that I hear what sounds like the machine sealing itself or it's another switch activating, I can't tell. I am not too familiar with the thing's pre wash preparations. It's after this sound, the second sound, that I would usually hear the swooshing of the water inside. But nothing now. Funny thing though, after switching it on and off several times and going out to the fuse box and shutting it off from there it worked once but after that back to the same problem as before. It does drain if I reset it. I thought I smelled burning plastic coming from the dishwasher while the problem first started. I'm afraid that may be the culprit. Anyway I've checked all three arms and they don't seem clogged. I've tried pulling off the filter at the bottom of the tub but I was afraid to break it. I only managed to jiggle it free enough that I could angle a mirror to see half way into it but I didn't see any obstruction. I also checked the line that goes into the the dishwasher, no leak or anything and it is open. I guess the tub couldn't get filled if the water was shutoff. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Run the dishwasher in the Service mode (the instructions are attached) and post the results. Gene.

First of all thanks a lot for all your help.
After pressing the cookware and the heated dry buttons for 3 sec all of the LEDs lit up and the digital display read 888.
1R - Drying LED lit and 251 on digital display 2R - Hear a hum and running water ( tub filled with water) 3R - Nothing happened 4R - Heated Dry LED lit
1L- Pressed after 2R. Drained tub and a whirring sound is audible. 176 on digital display (This was yesterday, 7/8. Today, 7/9, I tried again and got same results only that the display read 205 and when I activated the module a couple of times, after deactivating it of course, the number on the display change to 204 then 203 consecutively. I guess it would continue to count down but I stopped there.) 2L - Nothing happened. Digital display read 64 (although I though it read 65 yesterday, 7/8) 3L - Nothing happened 4L - " " 5L - " "

Remove the bottom panel. Make sure the self tapping ground wire screw on the circulation pump motor is tightened securely. Check for 120 VAC to the pump motor while the control calls for wash. It also can be activated in the Service mode by pushing the 2L pad.
Post the results.
Gene.
