The drum on Frigidaire FSE446RHSO catches clothes as it turns, causing dirt marks on laundered clothes. The drum has some play when you push against the back of the drum. The gap at the top is about 4 time the gap on the bottom. Is this an easy repair? Parts list shows a shaft with a ball hitch type end, and a bearing that mounts to the body of the dryer. Or is there more to this problem?

I would also check the Front glides and seal Items 20 and 21 in the "frnt pnl door" section. Also make sure where they ride is not badly worn. Here is the parts breakdown Model FSE446RHS0They do sell a complete bearing replacement kit prrt number AP2142648 Might as well check for any other worn parts re: belt, idler etc. Then you can decide if it is worth while putting those dollars into it or does it make more sense to buy a new unit. If you decide to fix it give the interior a good cleaning including the blower wheel and also clean and check your vent system. |

You most likely have a rear drum bearing wearing down, causing the space in the front of the drum. The clothes will get caught in the front, and also get black sreeks on the clothes. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
