washer wont agitate. everything else seems to work, including spin cycle. when in agitate mode you can hear a low humming. if i turn the motor belt by hand, one way, basket turns ,the other agitator turns. the agitator coupling seems good. thanks krf

If someone can help me please read on to page 2. I have tried everthing that makes sense to me. Help!!! thanks KRF

Did you ever get this fixed?

I have the same problem .. spin cycle works, water drains , but agitator will not rotate .. spins freely clockwise .. but not counter clockwise.

Have you taken the agitator off to see if the shaft, goes back and forth in the agitation cycle? Tom

yes .. the motor does not even move. it just hums in the agitate mode and gets hot. the motor only kicks in when the spin cycle starts. something wont let the motor reverse. thanks kenny

When it goes into agitation, does the motor continuw to run, or does it cut off. Also try taking the belt off, and when it goes to agitate, does the motor run? Tom
