I have a front load washer that is not going past the fill cycle> am I correct in thinking that the main control board has failed. The unit is subjected to brown outs as the electrical supply here is un reliable.
but the weater is good:)

Inside the lower service panel you should find tech notes that will tell you how to put it into a diagnostic mode and generate error codes.

If it will not do that, then the main control failure is like the problem as you suspect. Also, see if you cannot get some type of uninterruptible power supply or some other protection or this may just keep on happening.
