I have not checked for continuity yet, but there is a nice brown mark on the connector for the dryer element. If the continuity is bad, would it even be safe to put in a new element? I just bought the house and do not know how old the dishwasher is

Just checked continuity - and it seems like the plug is bad. If I wiggle the connector, the circuit opens and closes. Do I need a new element, or can I buy a new plug connector?
