I just got my gas valve regulator and was just wondering if there are installation instructions.

Remove the bottom drawer. Pull the range out to have an access from the front and from the back. Unscrew all gas tubes from the valve/regulator and carefully remove them. Mark all wires and remove them from the valve/regulator. Remove all screws securing the part to the chassis.

Assemble in the reversed order. Make sure all gas connectors are tight.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool range Model SF368LEPQ0

Do I need to turn the gas off somewhere first before I install the gas valve?

The nut on the gas hose coming into the gas valve will not budge. There is like yellow clay like stuff on the threads. Is there anything I can do.

You need a proper wrench and you have to force it.
