About a week ago I noticed that my 5 year old Kenmore 596.52673201 refrigerator was making an intermittent buzzing sound (every 5 minutes or so, and lasts for about 10-15 seconds) it had never made before. Then today I noticed that things in the freezer were starting to melt. I pulled it away from the wall and took off the lower back cover panels. The buzzing seems to be coming from the capacitors’ attached to the compressor. Would this be the problem and can these be replaced by DIY'r. THANKS

Hi there
I have the same problem I guess. I have a Kenmore 253.53612300 fridge that stopped cooling/freezing. I noticed a few days ago that the fridge was making a buzzing noise and after that it turned warm inside. Anybody knows what might be the problem?
Do you think you can help me pleaseeeeee?
thank you
