Washer fills and agitates but does not move past that cycle to drain, rinse and spin . You can hear the timer ticking for a bit after the agitation stops but that soon stops also.

Start by checking the pump for an obstruction.

I checked for obstuctions and there were none. I bypassed the lid switch and that was the problem!
