Originally my Magic Chef Stove CER3540AAH started beeping and the F1 error code flashed, then changed to an F3 error code, now we get just beeping with no error codes and the oven or broiler will just turn off. Any suggestions as to which part may be bad - Clock Assembly or Temp Sensor? Thanks for help!

Daym looks like it could be any of three problems, need to find the tech sheet hidden in your range and see what it says and see if it will let you do some testing....

Where do manufactures usually hide tech sheets? The only thing that was taped to the back is a wiring diagram. The clock assembly in this stove does not have a ribbon strip and the clock assembly is sold as a combination face plate and board. My husband had the clock assembly out of the stove. We thought that maybe if we reseat the board it would work properly but it didn't. We no longer get error codes, just beeping. We still have the stove plugged into electroical and the only thing running is the clock. We get single beeps every so often and when we try to use broiler or oven, they will just turn off sometimes with a beep and other times off without a beep.

I would suspect the clock at this point, but...might be an expensive test..

You are so helpful Pegi !! I ordered the oven sensor this morning so we should find out hopefully by weekend (if I receive it by Friday) if that is the solution to problem. If beeping continues then I'll order the clock assembly to see if that is the fix. Thanks again for your input.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that my problem with error codes was fixed after we ordered and replaced the Temperature Sensor. We received part 10/18/07 and used oven once so far as of 10/20/07 and it worked great!
Thank you Appliancepartspros and all who contribute. What a great site!!!!
