Washer will fill for wash cycle, when agitation starts - loud clicking/grinding
noise, while at the same time I smell the belt burning. Took pump out to check pulley because it appeared it was froze up, but when out, pulley turned freely, and cleaned out lint. Put belt back on, pluged in and tried on spin cycle. Clicking noise started, motor slamed positions and belt was not going around and burning smell from belt started. Unplugged and tpped machine back and tried to move belt but it wouldnt move. Hope I have provided enough info. P.S. I did notice that the belt did receive a burn out on it.

My guess would be either the tranny or the brake locked up.
