My dishwasher has never worked and is under warranty by the builder, Centex. This has been going on since March. After waiting 11 hours one day, the repair man showed up at 6:45 am the next day. He determined the plastic bolt-latch (part 3380854) was broken. He ordered a replacement part. After two weeks the part arrived and the service man was set to install it today (19 Oct) between 8 & 5. He did call once and said he would be here after 1 pm. It is now after 7 and I am still waiting.

The label on the part bag says "easy to install". I have removed the screws holding the door together and exposed what is left of the broken bolt-latch. I have not found it "easy to remove". Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hopefully and thankfully yours,

Jan

Do not do it. That can lead to void the warranty. I know is a pain, but wait for the srvice tech. Yes, this is not a big help, but is the best solution.

Thanks. I may have already done too much. I stopped & put back what I could. Also unplugged the unit.
