My electric range just quit working. Looks like it works, but never heats up. When I unplug and plug it back in I get a code of H3 in the display. I called Maytag...useless. They said call a tech, but I'm four hours from a tech. Things can be kind of remote in Alaska. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Gene,
Nothing heats on the oven. Neither oven heats up and none of the four stove elements heat up. It actually says H3 133. Any ideas?

The first thing I would do is check the circuit breakers for the range and verify 240 VAC at the wall outlet for the range. Next step is to measure voltage at the range terminal block (on the back of the range, where the power cord is connected to). The normal readings are: between the Red & White and the Black & White wires - 120 VAC; between the Red & Black wires - 240 VAC.
Post the results.
Gene.
