I Test For Voltage At The Motor. I Have Voltage There.could There Be Anything Else Beside The Motor. The Belt Was Broken When Itookthe Dryer Part.

Whirlpool DOTT dryer, you have 120 volts at the motor??? and it is dead? if this is so, about the only thing could be a bad motor if voltage at the motor itself , altho I have never seen one go bad like this, they usually hum or something....check that broken belt switch, kills power to the motor when the belt breaks, door switch, check it too....

Pins 4& 5 should have 115 volts there and motor should run. If so, you have an open motor, sort of rare.

there was 120 v at the blue @white wires . tell me more about the broken belt switch where is it located? must the belt be on to work?can i by pass the switch to see if the motor turn on? starr thank for help.
