Is there anything other than orfice change outs necessary to convert a Whirlpool conventional Range to LP gas. I was told that the regulator needed to be changed out but I don't see why that would be necessary if the source is regulated like Natural Gas is at the meter.

The regulator does need changed but all it consists of is flipping the cap upside down
