i have the washer that still runs and blows cold air does not make any heat and the timer does not move, well my husband took a look at the two things you said... the heat element and the thermal element upon checking he said the heating element looked fried it was all black do you think that is the cause for the dryer not working proper?

Yes it does sound like the culprit.
Best way to check is remove one wire from it and measure it for resistance with a multimeter. Should be approximately 10 ohms.
Alternatively,remove it from the machine, you will probably see a break in the heating element.
If you do not have a meter, try running it in timed dry, the timer should run/advance. This will at least rule out a couple other possible causes. |
