brand new ice maker not getting water, seems simple enough just plug in the wires on the icemaker right? Or is there something that I am overlooking? Can anyone help me and possibly save me a service call? Its a side by side and I have water to the dispenser on the door.

It could be two things and they are related to one another; either the fill tube is frozen over and water can't flow becausde of restriction, or the solonoid coil on the water valve is burned out or both, or the bad valve caused the drippy fill tube to freeze up.
