Hello all Kitchen aid dishwasher not draining all water.

UserPostedImage

1. I removed the 1" tube from under DW all remaining water drained.

2. I removed other end of tube from garbage dispossal and blew though it there was no obstructions.

3. I then removed the air vent plastic cover and w/ my hook like tool poked into hole also no obstructions

I observed the tube and it appeared to be kink free and no bends.
garbage disposal seams to be working fine & sink is'nt clogged.

also this water not draining issuse occurs usalley after the 3rd or 4th wash. this issuse is about 2 years old and sometimes (rarely water will sheep out on the floor only a tiny bit)

I was concidering removing the srcews under the bottom sparyer and inspect for obstructions seamed kindof redundant since this is a screen to prevent dirty food from entering this area.

any tips on what else to check?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you checked the drain tube but is the fitting where it goes into the garbage disposal or sink drain line open?

The part where the drain hose is connected to the dishwasher is the check valve. Disconnect the drain hose and unscrew the check valve. Very likely there is a foreign object inside it.

OK I'll take the grey drain back off and inspect the check valve.

?1.is the check valve removed from the bottom?
?2. I don't see how a food partical could have gotten by the srceen inside DW or did this obstruction come from the other direction the garbage dispoal?
?3.will I need a tool if yes what type? or can I use my hand to remove the check valve?
Thanks

Thanks

I took a large bodied screwdriver and carefully probed inside the "T" fitting. Found all kinds of sludge that had accumulated over the years - enough to completely stop up the "T". Hope this helps.
