HELLO, I have a Whirlpool dishwasher model DU890SWKQ0, it will not turn on. The house has been vacant for several months. There is ~1 inch of water standing in the bottom of the tub, the door latches and locks into place firmly. This model has buttons on the left and a dial on the right. With a button depressed the tiny green light comes on, the dial is also set to the wash cycle. Nothing happens....nothing...only silence. It is not trying to call for water, no noise of any kind! I tripped the breaker with no change. Any ideas? Thanks!

Most likely the problem is a stuck pump. Remove the bottom panel and start the dishwasher. If you can hear a light humming noise from the pump motor then the problem is there.

- The part number for the pump & motor assembly is AP3044239

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model DU890SWKQ0
