My refrigerator will not get cold. I hear the humming noise which is constantly staying on, I checked the back and the compressor is warm, but not condensation on the coils in the back and also the bottom. I check the vents in the freezer to see anything blocking the air flow, however when I open the freezer and the frige cold air does come out both vents but blows very low, close the freezer door no air blowing. Can someone give me some advice or what to troubleshoot before I call a repairman. I bought the refrige band new 3years ago and I am still scratching my head. Can some one help me? Thanks Alex

Sounds like the compressor is on all the time.
You can usually hear it and feel it vibrating.

There will not be any condensation on the coils under the unit, they are the condenser coils and get warm when the unit is operating correctly.
The evaporator coils in the freezer should have frost on them.

By the sound of it the compressor is running but there is no frost on the evaporator coils.
This indicates that you have a sealed system problem.
Be sure to check for frost after the compressor has run for a couple hours. If you check shortly after a defrost cycle there of coarse will be no frost.

Could be that the compressor is shot OR that you have had a freon leak and it is now out of freon OR there is a plug in the sealed system.

All the above require a pro to repair and it will be expensive.

I did look up the warranty on this unit and it looks like it is only one year on the entire unit.
Usually the sealed system has a longer warranty so check the documentation that came with the unit.

Often it makes more sense to put the dollars towards a new unit due to the repair cost and no guarantee that it will fix the unit long term.

For instance if there is a freon leak, the leak has to be found and repaired and then it has to be re-charged with freon. Finding and repairing a leak can be difficult to say the least.
