My stove will not heat up, the burners work fine but the stove will not heat up? Is there some time of ignitor or some part I can get replaced to repair this or am I better off going with a new stove?
Thanks Brian

Thanks Brian Brian, First, we apologize for the delay, in responding to you Forum post. I'm pretty sure we'll have you up and cooking in no time. Does the waist high broil burner work/ignite ? You will need to remove the oven racks, and the bottom/oven base panel, and then the metal plate(flame spreader) from the top of the bake burner. Program a bake cycle (any temperature above 200 dgrs.) and observe the glow bar igniter. Part number: AP3119495
It should start to glow within a few seconds of starting the cycle. It should take 60 to 90 seconds to get to a "White" hot glow and release the gas for ignition. If there is no glow, you will need to check that your getting 120 VAC to the igniter with a multimeter, or remove the igniter and check it for cracks or broken parts. If it glows but never gets to the "white" hot stage, the igniter is weak, and not producing the necessary voltage or amperage to open the bake burner valve. (3.2 to 3.6 VAC at the valve terminalws or 3.2 to 3.6 amps on the igniter wire.) A weak igniter is the most common failure on a gas oven, and will most likely be the problem, based on your post. Be careful when checking or replacing the igniter, it's a very fragile component. Good Luck, :) :) :)
