I posted another topic but instead of putting all my questions in one post I am asking this here.

I want to know how long the spin cycles are suppose to last and if what I describe below is normal.

I recently ordered a new timer due to old one stopped working, the new timer when it comes to the first spin cycle after the initial water fill up and agitation for how ever long you set it for, it stops spinning and the pump pumps out the water then it starts to spin the clothes.

Should it spin through out the water being pumped or stopped and pump pumping out water normal?

The pump keeps pumping and when the water is almost drained out more water is added and the tub starts to spin once the water turns on. The water only runs for a short time but the tub keeps spinning until the water comes back on and fills the tub again with clean water.

Once this rinse cycle is completed and it goes to the spin cycle the samething happens as I described above but the last spin cycle goes on for ten minutes or more before the line gets to where it would turn to the OFF but it never turns off.

I called and a new replacement timer is being shipped out and return label being sent for the current timer. BUT, how long are the cycles suppose to last and does the tub suppose to be stopped while water being drained out and then start again when new water is added?

The last spin cycle has me worried with how long it spins before it gets to where the off would normally happen. It is like the new timer wants the washing machine to also be a dryer because they are almost bone dry by the time it gets to where it suppose to shut off and I manually turn it off.

I let it spin just to see if it would shut off and it never did. When I first go the timer it did but after 5 loads of laundry it stopped working correctly if it ever did in the first place.

Sounds like you have a bad timer or the wrong timer. The part number I get for the timer is 661649 or AP3131136 .

If your number is correct, then its probably a bad timer.
