I have a Kenmore washer, top loader. The shaft bearing went out. To replace it you have to replace the outter drum which includes the shaft and bearing. While I had it apart I noticed water had collected in the inner drum, there is not any drains on it ( because of the bearing going out water must have seaped into the drum. I was thinking I would drill a hole in the drum and drain it out and then reseal the drum.
Any thoughts ?

Any thoughts ? Pocorp, NO, STOP, Don't do it. The water you hear is the solution in the plastic tub ring in the front of the tub. That is normal, it's designed to operate as a balance system, to help keep the tub balanced in the spin cycle. Don't try and remove it. :) :) :)
