Hey, I've read all the stuff I can find about what is wrong with my mini fridge. I have determined it is the start relay. (not cooling no compressor sounds just a very quiet humm/buzz then a click sound.)

My problem is I cannot find this replacement part anywhere.

the part says QP2-4.7G bot no web search will locate a replacement part. To be honest I can't even find anything on the web with my fridge model number. It's kind of scary!

Anyone know how to help me?

So I found out (quite randomly) that this model number (FRC05L5DM0) was exclusive to Lowes back in the day. Maybe this will help someone help me.

Take a picture of the ptcr wiring, or make a wiring diagram, then order a GE ptcr, very reliable AP3772916 or WR07X10055. Retain the klixon, the thin white item stuck in the top common pin. If you failed to note the wiring, let me know. I assume you had no run capacitor plugged in.

Take the back off of the part. You'll see a small white bisecting cardboard retainer, remove this and set aside. Below this is a disc, onside. The two pin connectors have contacts that wedge each side of the disc. Take out the one with the spade connector and clean the face where it contacts that disc. It will have a carbon buildup that prevents electron flow. Scrape/clean off the connector and place back into the part housing. Reset the cardboard retainer, clip the back piece back on. Re-Install onto the compressor and cross your fingers. Worked for me. Couldn't find a part online either so I resorted to this. It works!!

Olson, ignore the comments by Mikey, not a good idea to re-use damaged parts. At best, it will fail later, at worst it could damage the compressor.

If you are looking for a replacement QP2-4.7G start relay for your minifridge, try searching for QP2-4R7, PTC Relay, or MCBR170TCL. Appliance Parts Pros has the QP2-4R7 on their website for $20. I bought it, and my fridge now works again. I hope this helps others, because it took quite awhile digging through the internet to find the right part.
