The clicking is coming from the gas valve area.

The dryer will fire up and work fine for sometimes several minutes and then the clicking will start.

I checked the resistance of the coils and all values are fine.

I have read that the gas valve is a usual suspect here but I wanted to run this by some others before committing a couple hundred dollars.

I'm zeroing in on the coil(s) being bad in that they check out OK at rest but once they warm up they are partially failing causing the noise.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Mark, I would replace the coils on the gas valve. It is an easy, and cheap repair. If the coils are not available, the whole valve would have to be replaced. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
