I inherited a dishwasher with a house just bought. I have noticed lately dishes are not rinced properly. After monitoring it for couple of days I have noticed that in last couple rinsing cycles after water was drained in fill cycle starts water keeps runing down the drain and my dishwasher ends up running without water. I have noticed also that when this happens if I open/close the door fill cycle continues smooth and dran issue dissapears. I thought it could be control panel so I have checked voltage on the small solenoid valve that moves flapper for drain cycle and votage is there when required. Considering this is intermittent problem it is hard to troubleshoot and drives me nut. Psplease advise have you had problems like this and what should I do to fix it. Thanks!

Nele, There are several possibilities, that you can check at this point, Check and make sure the drain system/disposal are clean, and the the drain hose is routed properly, so we know the drain system is not syphonning the water out the tub. Snything else would be a mechanical failure in the drain pump assembly, and we'll need a proper model number(should ba a 12 digit number), to research and diagnose the possible problems or parts needed to repair the dishwasher. Thanks, :) :) :)
