This is my first post here so don't let my username fool you. My husband is gone for the week and I have a problem with my washer. We have a 2003 Frigidare Washer that came with our home. Little did I know, this has been going on all weekend but it wasn't until my husband left that I found out about the problem. Figures, lol. Murphy's law. I look inside the tub and the water won't drain. I left the lid open and looked inside while I put it on spin and noticed the tub isn't spinning very fast and there is a lot of water coming out from the bottom of the washer.

Here are my questions. I hope you can help me. I want to open the front or side panel of this washer to see if something is clogged somewhere. This happened in a previous washer where an article got stuck in the drain pump. Perhaps this is happening to this one. I don't know how to remove the panels. Can you give me a step by step guide? If you don't think this is the problem, what do you think could be the problem?

I don't intend to call a repairman to come out. Since we did buy it with the house, I would prefer to replace it rather than spend money on it when it could break down again. However, I'd rather not buy a new one since it's SOOO expensive right now.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Remove the screw on the bottom on each side of the front panel. Slide the front panel up to release it from the side locking tabs and pull it toward yourself. Check the pump and all hoses. Post the results.

I am having the EXACT same problem with my Frigidaire Washer. Can you tell me if you found the problem, and how you fixed it? We had to purchase a new dishwasher, dryer, and brakes for my car this month, and I really don't want to add a new washer to the list! Thanks!
