I have the Kenmore series 90 top loading washer. The control knob on the far right side does not engage but spins freely. For the life of me I have spent 3 hrs. so far trying to figure out how to remove it. Any sugesstions appreciated. Also, if I do get it off where would I find the replacement part.

If you will post a model number we may be able to help. We need to see exactly what machine you have.

In general, the timer knobs come off either by unscrewing with them pressed in, or by a tab in the back which you access after opening up the control console.
