I'd like to disconnect the buzzer on my Maytag dryer - it is REALLY loud and wakes the baby. I see from the schematic that it is located behind the control panel. If I disconnect the wires, will it impede another part (are they wired in serial)? Or can I disconnect it and leave the wires unconnected? Are there any other issues in doing this?

Thanks!

Looks like you can just pull the wires off and tape the ends so they do not touch anything metal in the console... WIRING DIAGRAM :)

In case it helps anyone, I finally disabled that aggravating buzzer on my Maytag LDG9316AAE dryer, and attached a photo of the pink wire I detached which I then taped up! The photo is looking at the top right rear of the dryer.
