i read the other posting about similar unit as mine with no heat.
I looked up the diode, it's $54! is this right? why in the world is a diode so expensive?
I see three thermostat listed for the microwave, which one is which?

What exactly is going on after you push the start pad? The diode is expensive because this is GE part - most expensive parts among other brands. You can buy the same diode sold by Whirlpool for less than #25. - The diode Part number: AP4391839

everything works except no heat.
Found the schematic behind the control panel and following the process, the diode is bad (low resistance measurement to ground).
the manual said to change out the HVC also. Is this necessary?
