Popsie,

There are a couple of possibilities :

Check the wiring to, and the water fill valve for shorted wires.
(the fuse controls that circuit).

If the valve and wiring are OK, you most likely have a shorted "check" switch, or "jammed" off balance switch activator lever,

I would reccomend you order and repalce,

Part number: AP4026359

The lid switch assembly is the more common problem for your complaint.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)

Definitely check the lid and check switch. The fuse blew instantly when this was out of adjustment.

I could not get the washer to run once I fixed the above issue. It filled and then sat there.

I took off the front cover and manually moved the tub around and it now works.

I'm assuming somehow this reset or moved the off balance switch activator lever, which I cannot find where it is or how to access it.

Iceman,

The off balance lever and actuator, are located under the top of the washer. You probably reset the lever when you moved the tub around.

You'll need to remove the front panel, two(2) phillips head screws in the indentation. Remove the 3/8 " bolts in each of the front corners, and raise the top of the washer. With the top raised, the lever and plunger assembly will be in the 6:00 o'clock position.

Should you decide to remove or change the assembly, you'll need to remove the "loading lid, pull towards you on one corner of the lid, (don't loose the hinge balls) Then remove the 2 phillips head screws in the center of the opening.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Thanks for the quick reply. At least now I know where to look. Sounds easy.

Iceman,
You're welcome, I don't think you'll need the info soon, but it is pretty easy to access and repair.

Thanks,

:) :) :)
