Hi Gene, thanks for the recommendation about the fuse, I assume it is good as I have power present at the motor at orange and red white wires. The good news is when leaving home Depot I saw a scratch and dent washer for $150 !!! so I packes it uo got it home swapped out the top/lid assembly and away we go.:) . I bought an extended warrant and will use a seperate ground wire and get a surge protector for it too. nMean while on my porch sits a mystery. Ill check the low voltage side before I chuck it,, seems I should have gotten more than 4 years out of it.. Thanks again Gene! Your the man!!:D :D

My washer is a GE but the model number is WDSR2080D8WW.My washer washes and drains but won't spin. Could mine have the same fuse problem? Or do you think mine could be a timer problem. The belt is in great shape. My washer is also 5 years old. Thanks Carla.

It goes thru all cycles. It just won't spin. It sounds like it wants to but the clothes are soaked. There is no smell at the end of the cycles either.Like a hot smell:confused:

Remove the front panel by pushing in the release tabs under each side of the front panel. When the washer is in spin, see if the tranny pulley is turning.

I have a Ge top load washer model number wpre6150k2wt that pumps out water but does not agitate or spin. I have tested the lid switch with my ohm meter between the plug and the gray wire on the motor (left bank of wires, the one opposite the green) and it has continuity.
I tested the far right bank of wires and the #4-5 and #3-5 both have 12VDC
The 2 wire plug with red and yellow have about 98ohm
I have tried resetting the controller board and do not see any flashing green lights.
Does this mean my motor is bad, if it does mean this, my motor part number is 175D5106G057 and I am unable to find it on your site. Please help. Thanks so much.

Xdriver,
Sounds like the problem is a bad in line fuse. Use the instructions posted earlier in this thread, addressed to johny2thumbs to locate it.
Gene.
