We are going to remove our built in Frigidaire oven manufactured in 1973. We have been told there is a possibility some of the insulation is asbestos. Should we take any precautions in removing the oven (other than turning off the power).

I never heard that one. the oven insulation will be covered by the casing you'll be fine
