It has stopped heating (and is only a little over a year old. Grr.)

I am looking for advice for getting the control panel off without damaging any plastic clips. The service manual would be even better!

Yes the service manual would be nice, but Maytag has stopped making its tech data available.

I would call Maytag customer service and see if they will get you one since you own the appliance.
