Please help figure this one out. Have removed the flue from dryer thus removing any possible airflow issues. Gas dryer has a 4 month old ignitor, new coils, and all ducting is clean and clear. I have continuity across the thermostat in the back of the dryer near the drum and continuity on the thermostat that is immediately near the blower. All connections are tight and there is a good supply of gas with no kinked lines. Ready?? With the front panel off the ignitor comes on, glows orange, and most of the time the flame will ignite, although it will only burn for a couple of minutes. With the front panel on, as normal operation would be, the ignitor comes on, glows orange but no flame is ever ignited and there is a small whiff/smell of gas. The only part that I have not changed is the flame sensor because I'm being told that this part has to be working fine in order for the ignitor to even come on. I'm ready to buy one anyhow and change it just to see. What else could this be? I also took the gas valve assembly off and shook it to see if any dirt or water came out, nothing. The connection into this valve from the gas line is clean and looks like it was manufactured yesterday. No obvious questions there.
 If I had a bad flame sensor would it cut off the flame after a couple of minutes? And why when the panel is on does'nt it work at all?
Thank you in advance.
Jeff

check this once As soon as the flame goes out do you have continuity accross the terminals on the hi-limit not the thermal but the hi-limit. You could have a bad limit shutting off the flame
