my washer has been acting up lately, it will fill, agaite, then stop, before it drains, it stops like it is on the off section, is it the timer, can the timer be reset. or under warranty it is 4 years old

Post your serial number and we can check any possible warranty.
Does it drain at all or slowly?

I checked and there is no warranty left, unless you purchased an extended warranty.
If it isn't draining check your pump for an obstruction or it may just have quit. If it doesn't drain it will not spin. Pump part number should be 3363394 or AP2907492 (if ordered from this site) cheapest place is probably from here.

It could be a lid switch too if it's totally dead when it finishes the wash and ready to advance into the drain/spin cycle

I've looked at the pump and there is no obstruction. The knob to the timer when pushed in to start will start but it will stop and push itself out before even getting to the rinse cycle.

Whirlpool timers pull to start and push to stop kinda sounds like you need a new timer then

Thank you! I pulled the lid switch out and it is what is causing the problem. Thank you v2k04.
