Sears Gas Dryer 417.92052101. When I first turn it on, it heats, but seems like it stops heating within 5 minutes. Drum still tumbles. Only way to get it to heat again is to open door and leave open for a few minutes, then close door and turn back on. Same problem, it will heat for roughly 5 minutes or so.

I've cleaned all the lint and dust, and made sure exhaust line isn't plugged. I have not run any continuity tests. It appears something is telling the gas to turn off for whatever reason. I did not peep into the unit to see if I have an orange glow. I either don't have a peep hole, or can't find it. Your help is much appreciated. thank you, Paul

Paul,

Sounds like the problem with your dryer is a bad gas valve coils. This is very common situation.
