I want to replace my ceramic cooktop. To do so, I need to remove the cooktop trim ring. How can I remove the trim ring? I can't tell if it releases from below the cooktop or if it needs to be pryed loose around the ring at top.

Any advise on how to accomplish my task would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You must remove the whole cooktop from the counter-top, Them remove the screws from around the SIDE of the trim.
