Your machine is direct drive and doesn't have a belt it has whats called a motor coupler Whirlpool part 285753 Heres how you disassemble it remove/pry each end cap of control panel off in each corner of the control panel is a screw you remove that. The control panel will flop up and back on it's hinge, then release the two brass clips by prying up on the clips unhook your lid switch connector open the lid grab hold of the opening and tilt case forward and lift and pull entire case off the base plate. set aside release the 2 clips on the pump push aside leave hoses conected, remove the screws on the clips on the motor remove clips remove motor pry off old coupler press on new coupler reinistall in reverse order, Good Luck!! An experienced technician can have the repair done in less than 20 minutes

Howard,
The coupler is what makes the tub spin as well as agitate. This is the cheapest place I've found to buy them retail the part number is AP3963893. They are very easy to install.

If your tub is spinning slpw it could be a few things causing it It could be the clutch, the spin tube/basket drive or something underneath the basket in between the outer and inner tubs dragging and slowing it down like a rag or a sock etc.
