Looking for some help here... I just fried my belt in my washer and just got done replacing it. Now, in the spin cycle it is super loud and it never did that before. Is it possible that I screwed something up when I put everything back together or maybe when the belt went that it screwed something up? Any suggestions?
Thank you jtchev1978

I suggest you run it with the front off and see if you can determine where the noise is coming from. My guess is that the problem is with the transmission/brake assembly and that this is what caused your belt problem.
The brake repair, if the brake is the problem, can be done, but it is kinda complex and since Maytag no longer makes its service manuals available if you want to attempt it I suggest you call Maytag and see if they can provide you with instructions.
