Do I have to remove the evaporator to replace the defrost heater. How is it done. Thanks, Erich

NO, actually do not move the evaporator at all that is part of your sealed system. Are you certain it's the heater?

Nat Yes, the heater is burned in too.

The part number is AP76112. You may also want to change the defrost thermostat too, part #AP175103.
