The ice cube deflector does not operate, I think it may be the selenoid that operates the delflector. How do I check the selonoid with a meter and if the selenoid is good what would be another cause?

Your unit does not have a solenoid for the ice door. Get the kit part # AP3595356. Nat

That solenoid only controls if it makes crushed or cube ice. It does not control the ice door. For that you need the above mentioned kit. Nat
