My defrost heater is bad and the coils are frosted up if I change this out, do I have to remove the coil to get the heater out?

The evaporator is screwed to the back wall, just remove the 1/4 inch screws and swing the evaporator out to remove the heater. Just be careful with it, don't bend it too much.
